I was on MySpace and saw that Lloyd Kaufman had posted a bulletin talking about pimping this site called Movie Scenester. Basically it is MySpace for movie whores.
When I joined up the other day there were only 2,300 members. I know there are more movie whores out there than that.
When you get into the site and sign up you will have your basic profile layout but they give you options to set things up the way you want. The people on there right now have been pretty damn cool so far and I have already joined the MovieScenester Movie Whore group. Who would of thought such a thing was possible.
I have spent some time in the forums and of course I could not resist the urge to drop in my own 2 cents on a few topics but hey I am The Movie Whore and that is what The Movie Whore does.
Long story short, go check it out and if you are a movie whore you will not be able to resist the urge to sign up and add yet one more place you have to stop by and check in on when online.

Mythology is fun. The Wachowski brothers did a masterful job in creating a new mythology for the masses to enjoy. There is a lot of conjecture that goes with these films and many opinions and ideas. If you think about it when a film inspires the lengthy conversations and debates that this trilogy does then you can not deny it has earned a place among the great Scifi franchises of the past. Time to get on with the closer look.

I am sitting around on a Saturday and I am flipping through the channels and what do I see has come on HBO?
Showdown in Little Tokyo. Never heard of it. I am not surprised. It was one the first flicks that Brandon Lee did. He was in a supporting role to He-Man himself, Dolph Lundgren. Tia Carrere also pops up in this flick and has some the worst dialog ever. This is not a good movie by any stretch of the imagination but these are the things a movie whore will subject themselves to to find the flick that come on after.

As I have said too many times I am a stumblaholic. One day when hitting my favorite button I came across this site. These folks are in Finland and took 7 years to put this film together. I am assuming a lot of that 7 years was put into the special effects which are pretty damn good and had to be somewhat expensive. They encourage you to download the film for free and give you the bit torrent tracker for easy download. I was able to download it in about 2 hours using uTorrent. My slowest down speed was 50 kBps (kB = kb * 8 so my slow was 400kbps) and my high was just over 100 kBps and my average was around 80kBps. Solid number of seeds. Again the film maker put this torrent out available and encourages you to download it so it is legal.

Speaking of Bruce Campbell…
…did you know that on hulu.com you can watch Jack of all Trades. Now I realize for those outside the USA you can not yet access hulu.com but for the rest of us we watch the master of the B-Movie in all his glory. I have been going through the show and re-watching the entire series.
Bruce plays Jack Stiles the greatest American spy. It is 1801 and Jack has been sent to the Indies to thwart the evil French. Jack is the original mans man and a whore to boot. So of course he gets Paired with Amelia Rothchild who is the epitome of a proper serious English woman. She of course is disgusted by Jack and thinks very little of him and his cowboy diplomacy. OK I know that’s a Start Trek reference but it fits. Any way to battle the French head on but protect his identity Jack takes on the persona of The Dragoon a mythical hero of the people.
