Part of my responsibilities as The Movie Whore require me to sit through a lot of shit films in hopes of finding something entertaining that really no one has heard of. This last week my treasure hunt yielded a decent return.

How to Be a Serial Killer

If you like dark comedy, then this is a film you may enjoy. I am not going to rave about it because it was not that good. It was well worth the watch and price of rental but I probably would not buy it unless I saw it in the cheap movie bin at Walmart. During the movie there are these cut away scenes to this guy running a self help seminar on how to become a serial killer and that is where the gold is. Dameon Clarke is fun to watch as Mike the self help serial killing guru. Definitely a great performance that makes me wonder why I have not heard of this guy before. He is damn entertaining. The movie is a spoof and never takes itself too seriously but has a great dark edge that is at the same time strangely up beat and happy. It just works. Go rent it now.

Everyone has that stoner friend that can’t do shit right once they are loaded and that is all the time. If you don’t know this person it is you and you need to put the pipe/joint/bong/can down and clear you head for a day or two. Anna Ferris is a funny lady and she has some great moments in this flick that make it worth a watch if for nothing else to look at the screen and say, “I know some one that has done that” or “That happened to me once.”

It may not be for everyone but if you know a stoner or two or are a stoner or have ever been a stoner this one is guaranteed to give you a few laughs but don’t expect too much. I paid to see it and I got my money’s worth.

Well that is all I have time for today kids, but you kids have fun trying not to commit suicide after going to the theater to see a total piece of shit movie.
