Sorry kids no interview. Though I would love to interview Kevin. Truth be known I have actually sent a couple of requests and have yet to hear anything. Anyway on to a look at one of my favorite filmmakers.

Clerks

When I saw this flick for the fiesrt time I was working at a video store next to a mini-mart. I was living the movie and was amazed how well some one captured my life on film. This one that I will always love and a film that will always speak to me on a personal level.

Mallrats

Forget personal and have some fun. This flick was a lot of fun. From the stink palm to to Ethan Suplee looking at Shannon Doherty and saying “Brenda?” I loved this flick. And will some one please get that kid off the escalator.

Chasing Amy

Really this was a chick flick that threw in dick and fart jokes and made men watch it and love it. Jason Lee shows he is more than just a skater and that he can actually act. Joey Lauren Adams is an absolute pleasure to watch in this flick. Even Ben Affleck was pretty goods in this one. He also got the best line inf the flick. After Joey give this wonderful monologue of why she chose him even though she was gay and he says. “Well, can I at least tell people all you needed was some serious deep dicking?”

Dogma

Helped me with my own crisis of faith. It was a fun flick and it made me think. Anytime you can get an audience laughing and thinking at the same time, you know you have done something right.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

What did you expect from a Jay and Silent Bob movie. This movie was everything it should have been and made no apologies for itself. I love it.

Clerks 2

Funny thing about this movie is that any time my life feels out of wach, all I have to do is throw this flick in and it helps me find my center. This movie is my go-carts. As a movie it was better than the original. I loved seeing what happened to these clowns. The addition of Elias was perfect. I have never seen a better look to sell a scene then Jeff Anderson when he hears what Pillow Pants is. His look alone busts me up every time.

An Evening with Kevin Smith and Evening Harder

This man is a funny mother fucker with some great stories. The stories about Prince and Tim Burton alone are enough to convince me to own this shit.

Honestly I have still not seen Jersey Girl. I am just not ready for my foul mouth fat man in a trench coat to go family. I have heard mixed things but I am sure I will get around to it and I simply just can not wait for Zack and Miri make a Porno. Say what you will about Kevin Smith but he will always be one of my favorite filmmakers. I realize his brand of story telling is not for everyone and if yo don’t like him you are missing great shit. That’s it for today kids, don’t work too hard.
