Very under rated films. Charlie Sheen was great in it, and delivers the lines perfectly. Lloyd Bridges is a complete genius IMO, so any film he is in is pretty much a winner with me. People complain that the "stupid" comedies are cheap shots. This is generally a comment made by someone who doesn't appreciate the art of stupidity and how it is actually a great talent. The "don't call me shirley" line is one of my favourite lines in this genre of film. Everyone knows it, but people still moan about it.
