I love George Carlin. I already miss him. Carlin was a huge influence on me at a formative age. He helped to shape the way I look at the I look at the world. He began my love of words. He taught me context.
I could go on and on about everything that this brilliant man brought to my life and the effect of his work but I want to know what you remember. Leave a comment or a dozen and let’s remember him together.

I was on MySpace and saw that Lloyd Kaufman had posted a bulletin talking about pimping this site called Movie Scenester. Basically it is MySpace for movie whores.
When I joined up the other day there were only 2,300 members. I know there are more movie whores out there than that.
When you get into the site and sign up you will have your basic profile layout but they give you options to set things up the way you want. The people on there right now have been pretty damn cool so far and I have already joined the MovieScenester Movie Whore group. Who would of thought such a thing was possible.
I have spent some time in the forums and of course I could not resist the urge to drop in my own 2 cents on a few topics but hey I am The Movie Whore and that is what The Movie Whore does.
Long story short, go check it out and if you are a movie whore you will not be able to resist the urge to sign up and add yet one more place you have to stop by and check in on when online.

One thing I think I have found that can whip people into a frenzy just as bad as religion or politics is some of our beloved franchises, villains, heroes and other categories we will find below, especially when you say one is better than the other. So let’s see what kind of damage we do.
