If there is one thing we have an over abundance of in this world, it is critics. Everyone is a movie critic. Now type movie reviews in Google, you may get something like this. I am no different. I think I have unparalleled taste in movies and consider myself an expert. I never said I was right.

So where am I going with this? There is a website out there that has taken movie fandom to a new level. I discovered this site back in 2000 when I was in training at a call center I worked for. The site is The Hollywood Movie Exchange AKA HSX.com. At HSX you can buy and sell movies as if they were stocks and you are making your purchases based on how you think the movie will do at the box office. Not only can you buy and sell but if you think a movie is going to tank you can short a stock and make bank on how bad the movie does. They even have Star Bonds which calculates the worth of actors based on box office draw. HSX even has a ticker to keep track of recent movement on stocks. You can even play the options on opening weekend. This site is a great diversion when you are bored and I do not think there is anything on the site that would fall under the NSFW (Not Safe For Work) category.

There are even fan sites set up to help you choose which stocks and bonds to buy. There is even a forum for new players to get questions answered or to just hangout and see what other movie geeks are into. You can find this information in their Community section.
