I love Ryan Reynolds as an actor. We all know he can do comedy but he can also do drama and do it well. So this time around all the switches will be inserting Ryan Reynolds taking the place of other actors.

Movies: Austin Powers, Van Wilder

Actors: Mike Meyers, Ryan Reynolds

What this would look like: Ryan Reynolds has incredible comedic timing and delivery. Now I am not saying the I think he would have been better for Austin but I think he could have done it just as well as Mike. I don’t know how well Ryan can do an English accent but still picture it. I am big fan of Reynolds and I don’t think his abilities could ever be played up enough. Mike Meyers is a comedic genius. I think he would have a lot of fun with Van Wilder. It would have been a completely different movie but would have been guaranteed to have you rolling.

Movies: The Rock, Smoking Aces

Actors: Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds

What this would look like: In Smoking Aces Reynolds showed he could do a movie in a serious role with out comedy. If you have any doubts watch just the last 10 minutes of the movie again. He was perfect. Now put him in The Rock where he could use that and his comedic abilities to bring new life into the movie and add entertainment value to the film. Cage has had moments of brilliance in his career that made me stop for a minute and say, “He can act, he just picks the wrong movies some times.”

I don’t know if he would be able to do as good of a job as Reynolds but it’s worth the thought.

Movies: Any Chevy Chase movie, Just Friends

Actors: Chevy Chase, Ryan Reynolds

What this would look like: OK so Reynolds already looks like he is the illegitimate love child of Chase. His delivery in comedy is very similar to Chase at times. When I heard they wanted to do another Fletch movie there was only one name I would ever accept as playing Fletch and that is Reynolds. Just Friends kind of reminded me of the movies Chase did with Goldie Hawn, Seems like old Times and Foul Play. I know I am warped. Remember I am The Movie Whore and what would any self respecting whore be with out a warped view of things. Really for my money these two are interchangeable in any comedic movie.
