FIB a new kind of movie blog
Rants and Ramblings May 19th, 2008I was stumbling a few days ago and found the Film Industry Bloggers or FIB. What makes them different is that they have gone out and found people that work in Hollywood to write about what it is they do. Everything from director to music supervisor.
I spent a an hour or so the other day reading over some of the articles and I have to say I really like the format. It is a novel concept that they are executing nicely.
I talk about the different people you need to to make a good movie and these are those people. It is quite interesting to get their take on things. Their posts are well written and educational as to what goes on behind the behind the scenes. I have seen a ton of movie blogs and the reason this one sticks out is that I have not seen one like this.
I have already subscribed to the RSS feed and have added them to my Blogroll. I encourage you to check them out.
Just to give you an idea of what you will find, I was reading a post from The Journalist. This woman has written some very well done posts that were quite informative. The one I loved is this one here where she talks about interviewing celebrities and getting over the start struck feeling. So far I have read several of her posts as they hit pretty close to home for me. I also enjoyed the posts from The Casting Director and The Music Supervisor.
Each day the week there are posts from a different set of bloggers. You can find the schedule here. There is also a forum section your can sign up to participate in. Of course there are also film reviews.
In closing I am going to repeat myself and tell you to check the FIB out. You won’t be disappointed.
